Customer Service: Returns

Can I return my purchase?
If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase*, contact us within 15 days of the receipt of your order. All returns must be authorized by us prior to shipping. Returned items must be shipped to us in their original condition and packaging within 30 days of original receipt. Shipping is only free if you keep the item/items you order. If you decide to return the item for any reason, THE COST OF SHIPPING THE ITEM TO YOU IS NOT REFUNDABLE AND WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE AMOUNT OF YOUR REFUND. IN ADDITION, ALL RETURNS MUST BE SENT PREPAID FREIGHT AND THE COST OF THE RETURN SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. We reserve the right to assess a 30% restocking fee plus any shipping charges associated with your order. If you do not think our return policy is fair, please don't order from us. This policy is strictly enforced so that we can continue to offer low prices to our customers.  

*Mattresses, box springs or foundations, opened pillows, opened sheet sets, opened mattress pads, opened comforters, opened Create-a-kings, opened mattress toppers are not returnable.  

**Our restocking fee varies by item.  If you return the following items, we will deduct a 30% restocking fee: bed frames, converter bed rails, bed rails, bed frame center supports, bed frames with risers, headboards,  daybeds, and daybed link springs.  If you return the following items, we will deduct a 20% restocking fee: footboard bracket kits, small bed frame parts like bed frame adapters, bed frame feet, etc., unopened linens, create-a-kings, sheets, pillows, etc.

Why do we charge a restocking fee?  When you return a bed frame, the box is often completely destroyed.  There is no way for us to re-ship that item without completely repackaging it.  Also, very often the returned frame is damaged or missing parts- unfortunately, that is the nature of shipping such heavy and bulky items.  We are a very small company (3 people!) that operates on a very tight budget, and the restocking fee helps us recoup some of the costs associated with returned items.  If you have questions about a product, please call us during normal business hours at 1-800-905-6252 before ordering.  We can help you avoid the expense of returning an item.

Obviously, we will not charge a restocking fee if the return is due to a mistake on our part.

How do I return an item?
You must contact us prior to returning an item. You may call us at 1-800-905-6252 to get a return authorization number or you may email our returns department for a return authorization number: mailto:info@esleepshop.com.

Please allow 48 business hours for an email response to your return request. If you fail to get a return authorization number, you will delay the processing of your credit/refund. When you receive your return authorization number,  print out our return label (see below), write your return authorization on our return label, as well as your name and address. Ship the item/items to: The Sleep Shop- Returns 3136 Hickory Blvd Hudson, NC 28638.  You must prepay for the return shipping.
