What are tropical hardwoods?
Plantation grown tropical hardwoods have many uses: interior trim, furniture, moldings, concealed parts of furniture, concrete formwork, dowels, drawer sides, framing, kitchen cabinets, even exterior facings. Asian tropical hardwoods encompass many species from Chinese poplar and birch to hackberry. The grain is usually straight, and the wood is well known for its excellent nailing, gluing, and sanding properties. The wood carves easily and holds a stain very well.
